DGA student and First-Place Winner Benjamin Jenkins with DGA Instructor Susan Thompson
The staff and faculty voted on which design best represented the spirit of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life event, and the T-shirt ballots allowed employees to give valuable feedback to our students. This contest also enabled our students to explore their creativity and practice marketing and representation at the same time.
First-place winner Benjamin Jenkins said, “I enjoy the whole creative process; taking a blank canvas and putting something together that’s attractive is the enjoyment I get out of designing.”
Susan Thompson taught Benjamin in her Portfolio class. “Benjamin is extremely talented and hard-working. I believe his outgoing personality, sense of humor, and intelligence will take him to great heights, and I look forward to seeing what he creates,” said Ms. Thompson.
Benjamin’s winning design was worn by the Fort Worth Campus participants in the Relay, which was held at the Texas Rangers’ ballpark in Arlington, Texas, on Friday, April 29, 2011.
Remington College – Fort Worth Campus is proud of all its talented participants in the T-Shirt Design Contest.
