Home Instead Senior Care family network has individual offices across the U.S. The organization’s mission is to be a trusted in-home care agency and help families keep their aging mothers, fathers, grandparents, or friends in the home as they grow older and more in need of assistance and support.
On September 15, 2011, Home Instead Representative Amanda King visited our Fort Worth Campus to speak to students in our Medical Assisting with X-Ray (Limited Scope) and EKG (MA-X) program. During her visit, she talked about the types of positions available in home health care and the skills needed to work in that area of the medical assisting field.
Career Services Director Maria Eades also related that the Home Instead organization was hiring and that they had openings for students currently on their externships.
MA-X Student Maria Cangas said, “I really enjoyed learning about the hours in the home health care field and the positions that are currently available.”
“I was excited when Maria asked me if my class would like to have a guest speaker come talk to them. My class was so appreciative and thanked Ms. King and Ms. Eades for giving them this opportunity,” said MA-X Instructor Dena Soszynski.
