On November 2, 2011, Remington College – Fort Worth Campus held its biannual “Dress for Success” event.
This year’s event was set apart from past events because the professional photographers were our very own Digital Graphic Art students.
Digital Graphic Art student William Beard said the whole experience offered an excellent practice opportunity. “Our Digital Graphic Art Instructor, Mr. Harmon, taught us all about lighting and shading. While we were taking the pictures, my classmate Melanie Freeman held up a reflecting board to reflect natural light on both sides of the model’s face,” said William.

DGA Students Anthony Kpradith, Ariel Ray, and Brandon Steinle with Dental Assisting Student Rosita Gonzalez.
Medical Assisting with X-Ray and EKG student Chris Lewis shared his opinion on participating in the biannual event. “The whole ‘Dress for Success’ experience showed us how to better represent ourselves when we’re out in the work force. It allowed me to see how to present myself in a more professional manner, and it’s good practice for the Digital Graphic Art students.”
This successful field experience will definitely play a repeat role in the future at our Fort Worth Campus.
