On February 14, 2012, the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) presented Remington College – Fort Worth Campus with its “2011 School of the Year” award.

Each year, the NAHP presents this award to the school with the most Health Science students who sit for and pass NAHP exams with the highest passing rate.

Our Fort Worth Campus was selected for this honor from a field of 640 schools across the United States.

The following NAHP-sponsored exams are offered at the Fort Worth Campus: Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician, and Coding Specialist.

In presenting the Fort Worth Campus with this award, NAHP CEO Connie D. Wright stated, “Tonia Lawrence [Health Sciences Department Chair] has done an outstanding job in conducting the testing program. Every test that is conducted is done so without issue. The scores are far above the national averages on every test and every category. Only a teaching staff of high standards can produce results like we see with this program. This is an all-around excellent program. We at the NAHP are so proud of this school and consider it an honor to have a school of this caliber as an associate member and our 2011 school of the year.”

The NAHP has 30 years of experience working with the private career school sector. The organization holds monthly board meetings to review new associate member applications. They also review and monitor how location programs are progressing throughout the year.

In speaking of NAHP’s relationship with our Fort Worth Campus, NAHP consultant Jan Schilling said, “I am very dedicated to this school. Your students are the future, and you have prepared them well. All of you are a direct result of their success.”

The on-Campus award ceremony at Fort Worth included presentation of a plaque commemorating the honor, along with cake and refreshments.

Reflecting on this achievement, Health Sciences Department Chair Tonia Lawrence said, “It is such an honor and a privilege to receive this award on behalf of our students and the level of commitment and success they display each and every day.”
