Taking care of your teeth is a sure way to make Mom smile this month
Most people remember the lecture that their mother delivered on the importance of taking care of their teeth, and many today wish they would have taken mom’s advice at the time.
But thanks to Remington College – Nashville Campus, it’s not too late to make mom smile by practicing good oral hygiene. During the month of May the campus Dental Hygiene Program is offering complimentary teeth cleanings.
More than 4,400 Nashville area residents took advantage of Remington College’s low or no cost dental services in 2011.
Under the supervision of instructors, students pursuing associate’s degrees in dental hygiene perform low-cost procedures for the public, including:
- Oral prophylaxis (cleaning) and topical fluoride treatments
- Scaling and root planing
- ToothPrint child identification impressions
- Oral cancer screenings
- Dental Sealants
The Remington College Dental Hygiene Program can be completed in as few as 24-months and is an accredited program designed to prepare students for careers as dental hygienists. Instructors have real world experience in the dental hygiene field and course offerings include Preclinical Dental Hygiene Practice, Oral and Dental Anatomy, Nutrition and Biochemistry and Oral Radiology.

The clinic hours are:
- Mondays: 10:30 am-1:30 pm and 2:00 pm-5:00 pm
- Tuesdays: 9:30 am-1:30 pm and 2:00 pm-5:00 pm
- Wednesdays: 8:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00 pm-4:00 pm
- Thursdays: 9:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00 pm-5:00 pm
