Dallas LIFE is one of the largest homeless shelters in North Texas. This charitable, non-profit organization is governed by a volunteer board of trustees whose mission is to meet the needs of homeless men, women, children, and families in the Dallas metroplex.

After hearing from Mr. Sweeney, it didn’t take long for our Dallas students, led by Speech Instructor Gay Byrd and Packaged Applications Instructor Timothy Miller, to form a committee, create and distribute flyers around the school, and begin collecting bars of soap in a bright yellow bin located in the Learning Resource Center on Campus.

On March 22, 2012, more than 300 bars of soap were presented to Bob Sweeney at the Dallas Campus. While we were thrilled with the results, our students are motivated to do more for Dallas LIFE and other local charities,” said Tim Miller.

For more than 50 years now, the Dallas LIFE organization has had a profound impact on thousands of people as they have reached out with food, clothing, shelter, education, and long-term rehabilitation programs founded on spiritual principles.
