When we think about commemorating a wedding anniversary, spending that special day at a Remington College Campus isn’t the first thing that comes to mind.

But for Rachel and Craig Dalle, it just made sense.

FTW MA-X Student Rachel Dalle with her husband, Craig.

Rachel is currently a Medical Assisting with X-Ray (Limited Scope) and EKG Tech student. On April 10, 2012, when the Remington College – Fort Worth Campus held its biannual “Bring a Friend to School Day,” Rachel naturally brought Craig along. It also happened to be the day on which they were celebrating 22 years as a married couple.

How They Met
Craig and Rachel dated long distance for just seven months when they decided to marry. Craig had just finished Marine Boot Camp in 1990. Later, Craig decided to join the Navy and eventually became a pilot, flying F-14 Tomcats and F-18 Hornets.

Rachel spent those years as an actively involved stay-at-home mom.  Because Craig was away on Navy duty, Rachel was often at home alone running the household, yet she always found time to remain very involved in supporting her husband’s unit and all of the unit’s spouses and children wherever and whenever she was needed.

Time of Transition
For Rachel and Craig, this past year has been a time of transition. After a long and successful military career, Craig has recently retired, and the couple has settled in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area to finish raising their two children (a daughter, Kaitlyn, and a son, Gavin).

Craig obtained his master’s degree and now works for Corsair Engineering at Lockheed Martin training pilots. And, he has now taken a supportive role to enable his wife to pursue her medical training and her dream of a career in healthcare.

When asked why she chose the medical assisting field, Rachel stated that she has had some medical issues in the past and has seen firsthand how those in the medical field help others. Having gone through those personal experiences, Rachel decided that she would like to help others in the same way.

So it’s fitting that Rachel and Craig would commemorate their 22 years together, and Rachel’s new career path, and this new phase in both of their lives, by spending a good part of the day at Remington College, since our Fort Worth Campus is exactly where Rachel is embarking on her own new journey, with Craig’s loyal support.

We wish Rachel and Craig Dalle all the best as they begin their 23rd year together, and we’re confident that the future will hold great things for this special couple.
