The Medical Assisting, Medical Assisting with X-Ray Tech (Limited Scope) and EKG, Dental Assisting, and Pharmacy Technician departments at Remington College – North Houston Campus have been busy this term creating replicas of actual healthcare waiting rooms, reception areas, exam rooms, and pharmacies!

All groups came together to stage a medical marathon this May.

In their classrooms, students set up booths that mimicked actual medical offices. Mock patients were seen and diagnosed, and a variety of services were administered.

Students received real-life practice taking blood, creating dental impressions, recording and documenting patient information, as well as filling mock prescriptions and checking blood pressures and heart rates.

This was a great opportunity for students to apply their skills and knowledge in a simulated setting while practicing their professionalism in the workplace.
