Good medical, dental, and vision care is sadly a rare occurrence for many people in poverty, including the villagers of Barahona, near Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Thanks to Shreveport Department Chair Christopher Riser and a number of other medical missionaries, a dire situation got a little easier to bear for those villagers this past July.
